Quote Lifecycle
1. Lead
At the outset, you have the opportunity to gather essential information about your potential customer without committing to a full quote. This step includes capturing important details like the customer's name, contact information, and any specific notes. At this stage, your focus is on collecting information rather than creating a quote.
2. In Progress
During this phase, the quote is generated. In the "In Progress" stage, you will begin constructing the quote by including the necessary window furnishings. This is the stage where you tailor the quote to fulfil the customer's requirements. It is crucial to enter all the necessary details accurately to present a clear and precise estimate.
3. Quoted
After adding all the necessary items and details, save the quote as "Quoted." This stage signifies that the quote is fully prepared and awaiting review. Send the quote to the customer for their consideration, and don't forget to set follow-up dates for further communication.
4. Accepted
Congratulations! Once the customer has agreed to proceed with the quote, you can park it in the "Accepted" stage until you are fully prepared to submit it to the Capture team for fulfilment. Reasons for not being ready could include waiting for payment from the customer or needing site contact information.
5. Ordered
After verifying all the details, you can send your quote to the Capture team for processing, and initiating the order fulfillment. It is essential to double-check for accuracy and completeness to ensure a smooth fulfilment process. The Capture team will keep you updated on the progress as the job moves through the fulfillment stages.
Quotes that have been ordered will no longer be visible on the quoting dashboard. They will, instead, be accessible on the 'Orders' page.
