Mounting positions
The Mounting position refers to where the curtain is secured to on the window. There are two categories of mounting positions for curtains, Horizontal and Vertical. This article discusses the Vertical mounting positions only. To learn more about horizontal mounting positions, click here.
Vertical Mounting Positions
The vertical mounting position refers to the height at which the track is mounted in relation to the architrave or cornice. There are three standard options you can select in the app, you can customize this mounting position by selecting custom in the app and leaving a note.
Include the mounting position selected when measuring for your curtain. i.e. measure from the mounting position to the floor.
Standard
This mounting position is when the track is fixed ot the wall 150mm above the window. It is ideal when there is a large gap between the ceiling and the window.
Below the Cornice
This mounting position is when the track is fixed to the wall 50mm below the cornice.
Ceiling Mount
This is when the track is fixed to the ceiling. This is ideal when there are pelmets or bulkheads. It can give the illusion of the ceiling being higher than it actually is and gives the best light control.
