Mounting Positions

Mounting position refers to where the Venetian blinds are secured to on the window. Venetian blinds can installed into the reveal or on the face of a window. 

Face Fit

Venetian blinds that sit outside the frame are called face fit. This is when the brackets are attached to the outside of the window frame.

• The best option for windows with obstructions

• A face-fit Venetian blind will usually provide the highest level of privacy

• Venetians should be 100mm wider than the opening when face fitting to reduce light bleed

Reveal Fit

Venetian blinds that sit inside the frame are called reveal fit.

• Less projection into the room

• Some light gaps will be present

• Ensure that there is enough depth within the reveal to fit the blind
