A major benefit to Venetian blinds is the control over the light entering into a room with the tilt rod. However, like all window furnishings, there will be some light leakage.

Light gaps are most prominent when a Venetian is fitted inside a window recess. If light gaps are a concern, then face fitting may be a better option than reveal fitting.
