Linking Roller Blinds
Roller blinds can be linked together for large windows. This is typically done when a window is greater than the fabric width and to avoid the user needing to operate each blind separately, with a linking system the user can control 2-3 roller blinds with the same chain.
Linked Blind Terminology
There are terms used to identify each of the blinds when linked:
-
Drive/ Control side - The side that the chain is on.
-
Intermediate - If three blinds are linked, the Intermediate is the middle blind.
-
Tail - The Tail is the last blind. If there are two blinds it is the second one, if there are three blinds, it is the third blind.
Light Gaps
Linked blind brackets will also have less of a light gap between them due to the mechanism. This is ideal in a bedroom or theatre room.
Up to 3 blinds can be linked together with up to a maximum width of 7230mm but not exceeding 15m² overall and there are various combinations that the blinds can be linked.
When measuring, consider breaking up the blinds to match the mullions for the most effective coverage. Please be aware light gaps will be present at each link.
