Double Curtains
There are two methods for supplying double curtains
- (Standard) One Face fixed track that accommodates two curtains
- Two separate tracks that are mounted separately but close together for the same double curtain effect.
Depending on the fixings, typically a standard double curtain system is used. However, if there is tight space or a pelmet that may restrict the ability to install the standard system, we may do two separate tracks.
If there is not enough space for the standard double track, quote two separate single curtains in the app. Learn more about spacing & projection requirements for double tracks on the measuring curtains page.

Furnishing Placement
When dealing with double curtains or roller blinds, the terminology used when differentiating between the front and back curtains is 'Window' furnishing and 'Room' furnishing.
The 'Window' furnishing is the curtain installed closest to the glass.
The 'Room' furnishing is the curtain installed furthest from the window, into the room. This will be the heading visible inside the room.
Double Curtain Track
We can supply double curtains in the below configurations
- Window Furnishing - Always Pencil Pleat
- Room Furnishing - Pencil Pleat OR S-Fold

Track Types
The track types available are dependent on the curtain heading selected.
The Decorative Track is used with the S-Fold Curtain, the Non-decorative tracks are used for Pencil pleat Curtains.
A decorative track is used because an S-Fold track sits flush under the track,so it is visible. As opposed to a pencil pleat track which is not visible as the curtain covers the track.
