Light Gaps
All Roller Blinds allow light to pass around the sides of the fabric, even when blockout fabric is used. This is because the overall width of the blind including its brackets is always wider than the fabric width.
Light gaps are most prominent when a blind is fitted inside a window recess (reveal fit). Gaps can be reduced in some cases by linking blinds together (thus reducing the overall gap between blinds). If light gaps are a concern, then face fix may be a better option than reveal fix or upselling the customer into curtains, as they block out more light than roller blind.
Face Fit Light Gaps
Front rolled face fit roller blinds will have a light gap due to the projection. Meaning the light gap will occur due to the distance fr
om fabric to wall/architrave. To minimise the light gaps, where possible we recommend back rolled face fit roller blinds. These will have light bleed, but less than if they were front roll.

Reveal Fit Light Gaps
Reveal fit roller blinds have visible light gaps aro
und the sides and top of the fabric, even when blockout fabric is used. This is because the overall width of the blind including its brackets is always wider than the fabric width.
