Vertical Blinds Mounting Positions

Vertical blinds can either be face fit or reveal fit. Depending on the situation.

Face Fit

Vertical blinds that sit outside the frame are called face fit. This is when the brackets are attached to the outside of the window frame. Typically this is done for sliding doors.

  • The best option for windows with obstructions

  • Blinds should be 100mm wider than the opening when face fitting to reduce light bleed

Reveal Fit

Blinds that sit inside the frame are called reveal fit. This is the most commonly used mounting position for vertical blinds.

  • Less projection into the room

  • Ensure that there is enough depth within the reveal to fit the blind
